Rides & Attractions

There is plenty for everyone to do in order to have a great time at Aquatica.  The following are the rides and attractions you will find at Sea World's water park, Aquatica:

Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores

Unique to Aquatica, they have not one but two large wave pools.  The wave pools are side by side and sport a very large number of lounge chairs immediately nearby to make it easy for you to lay out and enjoy the sun and cool off in one of the wave pools nearby.

Dolphin Plunge

One of the main attractions at Aquatica is the Dolphin Plunge.  At first glance, the ride seems really unique and cool because the enclosed tube/slide actually goes through a tank with live dolphins swimming and playing.  While it's definitely a must-do attraction if you come to Aquatica, don't expect much in terms of seeing the dolphins underwater.  You zip by pretty fast and only one of the two tubes typically has a view of the dolphins.

Kata's Kookaburra Cove

This area is a fun kid's area with skirt guns and mini-slides.  Parents can hang out on nearby lounge chais and keep and eye on the kids.

Loggerhead Lane

Aquatica's version of their "lazy river".  A great way to relax and get some rays.

Tassie's Twisters

A very fun ride with twists and spins.

Taumata Racer

Probably the best thrill ride in Aquatica, this ride is an 8-lane head-first on a mat race to the bottom.  After a few twirls in a dark enclosed tube, you will find yourself emerging in the sunshine to head down some steep lanes to a fast finish.

Walhalla Wave & HooRoo Run

A great group ride where your entire family can zip down a fun slide on a group raft.

Walkabout Waters

Another great area for kids.  See the Kids information page on this site for additional details.

Whanau Way

Another great thrill ride in the park with 4 different slides down.  Another must-do attraction at Aquatica.
